I am a iphone fan but
Remember when iphone 5 first came out they compared with Samsung galaxy S3
I think iphone 5s will need to be compared again with Samsung galaxy S3
It will be shame to compare with note3 or GS4
or comparing with current devices like Sony Z series, HTC one
and this needs to be compared with Samsung Galaxy S2

Yea,I agree, even I am a apple user, found this phone is ridiculous ! Should move the 4s to 5c, so can have the same connect port standard. Love Samsung, but hate android system, plus Samsung fone got no resale value, plus when next year galaxy 5 launch, your galaxy 4 will be forgotten in a corner, happen to other company tooo!
AnyWay, 5c is a bad bad bad move!

The only reason they removed the aluminium back on this thing is 5S is really isn't that much better except for some more speed that doesn't matter that much to a huge amount of people since it doesn't have a bigger screen to make use of it, and the fingerprint scanner doesn't do much really except unlock the phone and possibly help with purchases because 99% of the time using the phone it won't do anything.
So they knew leaving the aluminium back on would mean there isn't that much point in buying the 5S and people would buy the cheaper 5C instead but won't because the plastic back makes people look cheap and can't afford it like people who buy the Porsche Boxter instead of the 911.

The 5C uses components from last year's model so they are a lot cheaper to produce, The aluminium back on iPhone 5 is a big expense so they remove it because it's cheaper to make even though Apple makes over $300 profit on every iPhone 5 and that includes manufacturing and labour costs, So with cheaper materials they still making about the same profit margin as with iPhone 5 even though it's basically a 12 month old phone.
And unlike EVERY other manufacturer Apple never drops the price of iPhone until after the next model is released while top-end smartphones from other manufacturers drop the price by around 10% every few months to reflect the age of the phone.
So yes Apple really is greedy because instead of keeping the iPhone 5C with aluminum back they'd rather have the 10s of millions of extra profit the make from using plastic even though it seriously damages their image as being a premium brand.

Unfortunately, with Apple, all you get is the brand. They are masters of marketing, and promoting style over substance.

The products always look very nice, but they are near the highest price point for the device type, and almost universally have lower quality hardware and worse tech specs than comparable devices. Apple mobile devices in particular are extremely restrictive, and have very poor capability for networking and file exchange.

If all you care about is looking cool, an iPhone 5c might be the device for you. If you actually want to do cool stuff with your devices (like my buddy who remote-controlled time lapse cameras using an R script executed through an Android device: try asking multiple application systems to work together on iOS), Apple is definitely not the way to go.
