I've owned this device for a month now and it is excellent.

First and foremost, it is well built and feels sturdy in the hand. It's weight is also well balanced. It is not the lightest tablet in the world, but it is quite light.

Next, the battery life is superb. Apple claims 10 hours of usage but I was able to get 12 hours of usage and a day of standby. I think that is an industry best for the 8 inch category.

Games and apps ran smooth with no lag at all.The A7 chip is truly amazing. Video was great thanks to its retina display.

The only apple went wrong with this is with the price.

I would easily recommend this to anyone who are willing to spent a few bucks on this wonderful device. If you are really price conscious, go for the LG G pad or the nexus 7 or even Amazon's kindle fire hdx.

For Mms..... Cheers to your new iPad Mini 2 :).

I had some comparison checks with my officemates iPad Air. Both Air and Mini 2 are the same weight. He purchased NBA 2K13 and played on it and it felt a little lag. I don't know if it is the app or what because when I purchased NBA 2K14 and played it with the iPad Mini 2, there where no lag or slowness. I tried to persuade him to buy NBA 2K14 to test if it still lag but sadly he doesn't want to buy it because he was not a heat fan hehehehe. Hopily he buys the game so we can play multi NBA 2K14.

I also notice that after the 7.1 patch. The background moves when you tilt iPad Mini 2 (it feels like the icons are embossed on top of the photo background) But that feature is not available in Air. I don't know if there is a settings on how to apply that thing.

apple make the best tab.. my ipad mini 2 is better than nexus 7 and samsung tabs which suckks ..
opinion:
if u want a portable tab for gaming, watching movie, carrying it long distance go for it
it has good proccessor and a graphics co-processer
and a 64 bit architecture

Sounds almost exactly right, 6 minutes per % battery gives around 600 minutes of browsing time, that equals to 10 hours and i think that is in line with Apples claimed battery life of their tablets. But i suspect it should be at 50% brightness, not 25%, however it may not matter much since Apple products have unusually low brightness also at 50% brightness.
