Xiaomi Mi 3 reviews:

User Opinion 1:

i am from India and i am using this device from past 1 week..There is a problem with push notification for gmail, whatsapp, and other IMs...The problem is if i close app then i dont get notification untill i restart app and i have tried various methods to solve the problem like auto start app and giving enabling app trust..etc but none of that has worked...

I m sure this is an software issue..But whts the solution for that.. Is Xiaomi is working on a patch?? Many users have posted the same problem in MI forum and communities.. but still no reply

User Opinion 2:

I purchased this phone on august 12th sale on flip-kart & I've been using it for more than 2 weeks. The phones that i have used till are L.G Optimus GT540, Sony Xperia Neo V, L.G Optimus Black, Samsung Galaxy S Advance & Galaxy S4.

My review on Mi3:

1> Build Quality: It is Extremely good & it feels premium
even though the back panel is made out of
polymer based material.
The corning gorilla glass 3 keeps the
scratches at bay.The touch sensitivity is
quite good & is responsive.

2>Display:As expected from an IPS display it has great
Viewing angles & color reproduction is accurate.

3>Camera:It's quite good it will take good pics in a well
lit environment but performs poorly indoors & in
low light conditions.
the shutter speed is awesome for a phone in this
price range. Its faster than all the phones that
I've used previously.
I'am hoping that the next update fill fix the
shortcomings of the indoor & low light photos.

4>The UI: Mi UI is quite complex & it takes quite some time
to get used to it. It is a feature rich UI, once
you get used to this you will be hooked.
It is smooth & lag free.
Initially the phone sold in the first two batches
had some glitches but it
has been fixed. The people who are complaining in
the comment section of this site have not updated
the UI to the current version. Or you can use
Google launcher.

5>Battery:It has 3050 mAh battery & is better than most of
the phones available in the market. For a normal
user the charge will last for close to 2 days.
For a power user it will last for about 16 hours.
only concern is it is non user replaceable.

6>Performance: Absolute beast. All apps & Games that I've
used works flawlessly without any lag.
The user can regulate the performance mode
this device, there are three modes
a>Battery saver mode
b>Normal mode (Antutu Score around 30000)
c>Performance mode ( around 35000)
It is better than Samsung S4 ,Xperia Z1

There are few cons like the storage it only has 16 GB internal storage & no mmc slot that's a huge disappointment
The service centers are available only in top tire cities.

It will eventually expand in a few months, initially Motorola also had the same problem look at them now they have settled in quite nicely.

All in all it depends on the end user who is willing to accept that this phone is a good device , because some of them have an illusion that chinese good are of inferior quality.

Based on my previous experience with android phones this phone is better than most of the phones available in the market

User Opinion 3:

The screen of my MI3 broke down on the second day..........though company boast it as a corning gorilla glass 3 but I am not sure.......as per my knowledge gorilla glass 3 could survive under 0.8 KG of weight whereas my phone's screen was not able to survive under the weight of a plastic-socket-plug-5amp.

User Opinion 4:

Camera may not be that impressive at low light. Except that at outdoors it is excellent. Only in low light it is not up to the par. Sound is so good with headphones, then as usual the headphones you use also matters. With inbuilt equalizer it enhances the music to an another level. MIUI is buttery smooth & few who got use to the typical android look up may not like, for those can use 'google launcher' or 'nova launcher' to change the look. But I personally like the MIUI , MIUI look is a personal preference, but it never lags in its performance. Battery power amazing for a 5 inch device. Use in balance or battery saving mode, in high performance battery drains

User Opinion 5:

 This is my honest review.
When you get this phone in hand you feel a supper premium gadget. I have one Nexus 4 and one Xiaomi Mi3 at the moment. let me tell you how this device works.
Battery is great. It really lasts long.
Display is very crisp but a bit yellowish.
I never saw software crash because Xiaomi team perfectly customized the MIUI Android.
The front facing camera is great just for video call. The video quality is better than many other phones but it does not take a perfect selfie photo. The rear camera could be better! Although it is far better than Nexus 4 but it is not the best. To be honest I am not impressed with its camera. It takes good Photos but not the best. When you zoom in you see a lot of noise. Day light pictures are good but dont expect too much. Low light photos are just normal ! I can say that its 13 mega pixel camera can take photos as good as a perfect 8 mega pixel camera.
When it comes to running apps, browsing ... it does not win. One reason could be due to its Android version. Nexus is running the latest version therefore I can not conclude which one is better but can tell you nexus open the web pages faster probably because of its latest android version. Hope you find this information useful.
