Reply to a question - somebody wanted more information and I think especially no access to the Google Cloud if it is correct is important.
Motorola told me that Motorola Moto G 4G 2015
(I don't know whether it is for the old XT1072 or the new XT1072 (Moto G 4G 2915) version
Probably both should have;
Voice Memo/Dial
But both won't have Google Drive (50 GB Cloud Storage)
I asked why (because all their other G phones had access to Google's Cloud free of charge) and they couldn't say why.
But it should still be possible to back-up to a computer I was told.
User Opinion 2:
It is ironical that up to now there are probably thousands of Motorola owners complaining about not having the latest Lollipop software.But with the apparent severe memory leak of 1.4 GB RAM bug/fault problem, numerous Motorolas' owners must be relieve that they haven't got the upgraded Lollipop 5.1 installed.
User Opinion 3:
Actually I always thought that the chipsets should be used as follows.Moto E Snapdragon 410
Moto G Snapdragon 610
Moto X Snapdragon 810
The point being Cheap phones get 400 series, medium priced phones get 600 series and higher end phones get 800 series.
That would be a good, sensible way to cater for everyone, and all markets.
Maybe the 3rd Generation models will be designed as such.

Seems ppl are making uninformed comments. I currently have the LG G3 and used the Moto G 2014 for at least 7 months. The only reason I'm using the LG is coz I gave the Moto G to my mom after her phone died. The Moto G cost £150, and a 5inch, branded, offline, dual SIM, handset, running pure android, is a great deal! You all look at the specs, and make assumptions, yet real world application is different. My G3, with its bigger battery has less endurance than the Moto G, and I'm a very heavy user for calls and data because I use use same handset for both work and personal calls/email/data etc.Moto G handsets are technically budget handsets, but what you get for your £150, it a great handset that is not heavy on the pocket, has pure android with no bloatware, will get updates in line with nexus devices, and look almost as good as the Moto X. There's no knocking that! For what you pay for an LG, Samsung, Sony etc, you can get 2 Moto G's, and give the other to your missus(or keep the money you've saved, and buy the next year's model,, innit!)
